Skype is indeed a solid video conferencing tool but our virtual classroom is designed specifically for tutoring sessions and includes features to offer both students and tutors the best experience possible; recorded session, virtual whiteboard, ability to upload homework into sessions, and the usual video/audio/text conferencing. Also in your Kalvie account you will have access to a live booking/scheduling tool so you can create/edit/cancel sessions instantly as well as access to payment system for easy transactions. Using Skype would mean you have to manually manage bookings and payments.
