The Virtual Classroom is the best way to interact with a tutor and for that you will need to book a session.
Alternatively, the Messaging tool allows you to message/chat live with a tutor outside of the virtual classroom. If your tutor is online at the same time you can both message back and forth, if not only, if/she will receive an email notification with your message.
You can either send a message by one of two ways:
New Chat - to send a first message to a new tutor simply click the envelope icon anywhere it is displayed; find tutor page tutor card, my tutor on dashboard, etc. This will open a new chat window. If you already have an open chat with the tutor this will simply direct you to that existing chat.
Existing Chat - You can access existing chats by clicking the envelope icon in the header (of every page once you are logged in) then selecting "See All". This will take you to your inbox page where you can search for the desired chat.
